PUKENSVET SERIOUS STRENGTH TRAINING EQUIPMENT
There are many exercises that absolutely require a standard straight Olympic barbell. However, there also many exercises that can be enhanced using a cambered bar in terms of safety, comfort and range-of-motion:
Barbell presses and bent over rows are restricted by s straight bar because when the bar touches your chest or waist, you have to stop at that point, With the cambered bar, you can extend your range of motion as much as four more inches in both directions. Now you can increase your strength AND flexibility throughout your ENTIRE range of motion!
The cambered bar is a natural for performing shoulder shrugs with your hands in a natural position SLIGHTLY to the front and at a forty five degree angle to your body. This is a more biomechanically correct position than you can achieve with a straight bar OR an expensive and cumbersome shrug cage that requires extra storage space for an apparatus that only allows one exercise and requires you to step into as if you are putting on a pair of pants.
Overhead behind the neck presses can cramp your shoulder joints and allow discomfort and chance of injury. The cambered bar allows you to lift in a perfectly vertical motion with the cambered section falling comfortably behind your neck.
Competition deadlifts are natural shin skinners when executed correctly, but there is no exercise that I have found that will duplicate the benefit. The cambered bar allows mind blowing deadlifts WITHOUT the skinned and bloody shins.
The cambered bar can be used for almost all of the standard bar exercises, and when it is one part of the Pukensvet Safety Squat/Cambered Bar Combo, it is probably the most versatile, AND affordable tools that you could ever want and it will be a welcome addition to every home, garage, crossfit box or full-on professional hardcore gym and every athletic training room from high school to NFL weight rooms on the planet.
